Enterprise-Task 3

This task is based on the 6 marketing steps suggested in the lecture.

I am working on the basis for this task that I working as a freelance graphic designer focusing on branding and identity as a USP.

What Do They Want to Here//What Should I Say To Them??

It is always a risk when companies hire freelance designers to work for them instead of a bigger perhaps more well known company. However there are certain things I can to do to encourage people to do business with me.
Firstly it would be a good idea to get buzz about my work into the creative community this can be done through entering competition briefs, especially if they are won. As well as a collaboration with a better known artist or photographer. It is the positive buzz that adds legitimacy to your work, which is something the potential client will want to here, especially in setting you apart from other “non” awarding winning companies etc. Adding legitimacy and buzz to your name or company name can also be done by simply being social and turning up to networking events as well as having easily accessible information about yourself, weather in web or print format. It would be also useful for your web site to Include quotes from happy clients.
Perhaps after you have had your first contact with your client it is important to set yourself apart from competitors by offering them something that competitors do not. This can be done in many ways from pricing strategies for example offering high quality design at an affordable price. This should defiantly be done when doing business with a client for the first time as if they are satisfied with the outcomes and the work was done under budget, there is no reason why they shouldn’t come back. Perhaps offers such as 10% first project would also entice business however does this send out the most appropriate message to the clientele.  There are many ways of attracting business through pricing strategies with payment plans and offers,  however when it comes down to it what they want to here is how they can get the best quality outcome at the cheapest price possible.
There are a great many ways to communicate with your client, it is important to have an official face or identity to your company, perhaps the first port of call for most clients is the website, which needs to look official, having notifications of previous award or client feedback to assure the potential client. Networking events is another way of making initial contact and having business card is an essential in creating professional relationships. Trying to think of fresh innovative ways of getting your name out there and communicating with your clients is often the most impressive for them. Having a unique campaign to get your name out there can only impress a client who is looking for a potential company.
